CRANIOSACRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION – 10 Hours Taught In-Person Over Two Days

Craniosacral Nervous System Regulation is a hands-on modality that works to improve physical health and well-being by restoring balance between the two branches of the autonomic nervous system: the sympathetic (“fight or flight”) and parasympathetic (“rest and digest”). Utilizing a gentle myofascial approach as well as Balance Points around the spinal cord, head, shoulders and legs, many
physical dysfunctions can be corrected.
Course Schedule:
Hour 1: Overview of Nervous system; define, anatomy, physiology (lecture)
Hour 2: Overview of Nervous System Dysregulation; define, signs and symptoms (lecture)
Hour 3: Define Nervous System Regulation; principles, benefits, indications and contraindications and pathologies (lecture)
Hour 4: Nervous System Regulation Balance Point Techniques (demo and hands on group 1)
Hour 5: Nervous System Regulation Balance Point Techniques (demo and hands-on group 2)
Hour 6: Nervous System Regulation Techniques for specific pathologies (demo and hands-on group 1)
Hour 7: Nervous System Regulation Techniques for specific pathologies (demo and Hands-on group 2)
Hour 8: Intake Forms, SOAP notes and treatment session (lecture)
Hour 9: Case Studies utilizing both Balance Points and specific techniques Group 1 (hands-on)
Hour 10: Case Studies utilizing both Balance Points and specific techniques Group 2 (hands-on)

This course is approved for 10 CEUs through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB); The Institute for Continuing Education is an Approved Provider with the NCBTMB, AP # 307800-00. The course is also approved for 12 CEUs for NJ Chiropractors; The Institute for Continuing Education is an Approved Provider/Sponsor with the NJ Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The school is also recognized by the PACE Program of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards; chiropractors in states that accept PACE may earn 10 CEUs.
About the Instructors: Joanna Mosto-Paganotti, LMT and Lucille Zirpoli, LMT (Note: if the class is small, the only instructor will be Joanna Mosto-Paganotti.)
Since 2008, Lucille (Luci) Zirpoli has been massaging clients in many areas and with various conditions. For 16 years she has been teaching in massage programs along with continuing ed classes. In addition, she was the Lead Massage Therapist with a NJ hospice company for a decade. Her education includes oncology certification, personal training and the NY program which included Asian bodywork. Her passion lies in working with people with serious medical conditions, and her specialties include manual lymphatic drainage, pregnancy and foot reflexology.
Joanna Mosto Paganotti has been a massage therapist since 2007, which, continues down a path she began in 2001 when she became a Reiki practitioner and started her study of medicinal plants. She maintains a private practice, Balance Massage and Energy Healing, LLC and in 2009 began teaching massage and bodywork as well as energy work and meditation. From 2009 to 2017, she was a Massage and Bodywork Instructor at Institute for Therapeutic Massage and worked in 2013 as a Bodywork Instructor and Clinic Supervisor at Fortis Institute.
She has expanded her knowledge of mind-body work, studying CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, Past Life Regression with Brian Weiss, Access Bars with Access Consciousness, Pre and Post Natal massage with Cheryl Chapman and most recently, the Spurgeon Method™ of Breast Massage Levels 1 and 2 with Sally Spurgeon. Joanna believes that bodywork and energy work should not be a luxury but rather a step on your path towards well-being.
