Course Description
Special electrical installations present unique safety challenges that require strict adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. This 6-hour continuing education course provides electricians with an in-depth review of NEC Article 680 (Swimming Pools, Spas, Hot Tubs, and Similar Installations) and NEC Article 625 (Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment).Participants will examine the critical safety requirements for electrical installations associated with swimming pools, including bonding, grounding, wiring methods, equipment clearances, and GFCI protection. The course will also address installation requirements for electric vehicle charging equipment, including branch circuit requirements, load considerations, and safety provisions designed to support the rapidly growing EV infrastructure.Through code navigation exercises, real-world examples, and discussion of common installation errors, electricians will gain a stronger understanding of how to safely install and maintain these specialized electrical systems while maintaining full NEC compliance.
