Dates: Monday, June 3, Tuesday, June 4, Monday, June 10 and Tuesday, June 11, 2024 (students must attend all days)
Time: 9am to 3:30pm; a 30-minute lunch break will be given
Location: The Institute for Continuing Education, 7 Spielman Road, Fairfield, NJ 07004
This 24-hour program is a review for the NJ HVACR Examination. The examination consists of 2 parts, Business and Law and Master HVACR.
The program will review the NJ Application process and board regulations, cooling, heating, contractor business law, NJ HVACR Statues, OSHA , Risk management, bidding, estimating, project management, business organization, contract law, EPA 608 , and Propane.
You will need the following books, which can be purchased at our school or you may purchase them on your own:
- NCCER Core Curriculum 5th Edition
- NASCLA Contractors Guide New Jersey 1st Edition
This program is a review for the exam and does not replace any of the qualifications which are needed to take the NJ HVACR Exam. Those requirements are:

Option 1
Completion of a four (4) year U.S. Department of Labor approved apprenticeship in HVACR followed by one (1) year of journeyperson experience under a licensed Master HVACR Contractor.Option 2
Four year Bachelor’s degree in HVACR from an accredited college or university followed by one (1) year of journeyperson experience under a licensed Master HVACR Contractor.Option 3
Four year Bachelor’s degree in a degree related to HVACR from an accredited college or university f followed by three (3) years of journeyperson experience under a licensed Master HVACR Contractor.Option 4
Two year degree from a Trade, Technology, Community, or County School/College at completion of at least two (2) years of a U.S. Department of Labor approved apprenticeship in HVACR, followed by one (1) year of journey person experience under a licensed Master HVACR Contractor.

Marty is a New Jersey State licensed HVACR contractor and business owner with 35+ years hands-on experience as a skilled technician, installer, and sheet metal professional. He is a New Jersey State licensed CE Sponsor/Instructor for contractors who obtain license CEUs.
Marty is a devoted instructor with an outstanding knowledge of curriculum design and a deep understanding of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, puron, and freon. He has been successful in the classroom with students at all levels, an promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment.
