Class Description:

This class provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the importance of proper hand hygiene, focusing on effective handwashing techniques to prevent infection and promote patient safety. The course covers when, why, and how to wash hands, in accordance with the guidelines established by health authorities such as the CDC and WHO. Participants will also learn about different hand hygiene products, how to avoid cross-contamination, and the role hand hygiene plays in reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).

By the end of the class, participants will be able to demonstrate the correct steps for handwashing, understand when handwashing is required versus hand sanitization, and explain the importance of these practices in maintaining high standards of infection control in clinical settings.
