All Licensed Master Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Contractors are exempt from the Continuing Education (5) five-hour requirement for their first biennial renewal according to N.J.A.C 13:32A-4.1 License Renewal; Continuing Education (CE) Requirement.
All Licensed Master HVACR Contractors renewing for their second biennial of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024 renewal, must fulfill the (5) five-hour CE requirement for that cycle.
This requirement must be completed before the July 1, 2024 deadline.
Program Outline:
One hour: Statutes and Rules governing the practice of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
One hour: Uniform Construction Code, N.J.A.C. 5:23, relevant to the practice of heating ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
The remaining 3 hours will be devoted to:
- Contracts
- Laws
- Construction Lien Laws
- Consumer Fraud Act
- Permits
- Licensing Regulations
- OSHA Regulations & Job Site Safety
- Propane
(all of which pertain to the practice of heating ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration).
