This course is a TAPED VERSION of a three-hour course presented by Dr. Kenneth Y. Davis at The Institute for Continuing Education in July 2023. At that time, students could opt to attend the class in-person or by live webinar. The class was taped via Zoom and the recordings of the class are now saved on a private Youtube channel.  Upon completion of the taped version of the class, the student will need to complete a quiz and a course evaluation to receive continuing education credits. A Certificate of Completion will be dated using the date that the quiz and evaluation are submitted to The Institute.

Dr. Kenneth Y. Davis, certified Craniopath, Sacro Occipital Instructor, and Soft Tissue Orthopedics Instructor will be presenting assessment protocols and procedures as an “alternative to decompression”.  Specific Cranial and Soft Tissue procedures, essential for correction and maintenance will also be presented in this program.

Many chiropractors find themselves at a loss in helping those acute and chronic disk and lower back patients that are seeking an alternative to disk and lumbar surgical procedures. There are those practitioners in the profession who have chosen to purchase extremely costly decompression machines as the answer. There are techniques and procedures that Dr. Davis has utilized for nearly 50 years that not only have corrected many lower back and disk issues and have kept patients from having surgery.

Course will cover:

  • Postural and Orthopedic/Neurological Findings as they relate to the lumbar spine, Lovett Brother relationship to the Cervical and Lumbar spine
  • Orthopedic Blocking, Sitting Disk Pump technique, SOTO Maneuver(Step out, Toe Out) Category 3, Block Technique
  • Cervical Disk Compression and the Lumbar Spine: Corrective Procedures
  • Reactive Trapezius and its relationship to Pedicle Breakdown/Trabecular Pattern Change in the Lumbar Spine
  • Visceral Manipulative Techniques and their relationship to the Lumbar Spine

This course is approved for 3 CEUs for NJ chiropractors through the NJ Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The Institute for Continuing Education is an Approved Provider/Sponsor through 8/31/25. The course is also approved for chiropractors in states that accept PACE because The Institute is recognized by the PACE Program of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards.
