This is the REQUIRED 4 Credits for RADON RENEWAL.

Who can take this course? Anyone who is approved by the state of New Jersey to perform radon services and needs continuing education for the year and any home inspector who needs 4 hours of continuing education pursuant to N.J.A.C. 13:40-15.14.

This program is offered as a  Self Paced Modular program which you will access online with a link you will be provided after you register. : The link with your username and password is sent within 3 business days. This link will come from ECAN (website: online-edu); we are a sponsor for their programs.   Please let us know when you have completed the program and  your certificate will be emailed to you from ECAN.

• Annual (yearly) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are required for businesses and professionals.  A pre-printed version of the application will be sent to the mailing address that is in the New Jersey Radon Division’s database. The application needs to be reviewed for accuracy. Any changes need to be documented on the application before returning the renewal application to the Radon Section.

Since April 1, 2016, the Radon Section of the NJDEP stopped administering the certification exam or maintaining a list of approved initial and continuing education training courses. New Jersey law requires that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) certify radon measurement professionals.

If you are already New Jersey certified you do NOT need to take the NRPP-NJ exam or retake initial training. To continue being certified and avoiding retaking the initial 16-hour course you must annually pass an NRPP-NJ approved continued education course, just continue with your continuing education by taking NRPP approved courses under Annual Certification Renewal.
