Hot Stone Massage – How Not to Get Burned

This 1-hour course reviews why hot stone massage is a valuable technique for massage therapists but also reminds practitioners what issues need to be addressed so that things do not go wrong for the client. It will cover brief history of hot stone massage, proper equipment, temperature ranges, application precautions, and client contraindications such as medical conditions and medications.

About the instructor, Eric Munn:

Eric Munn is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant. He taught all aspects of massage therapy in a full time massage education program for over twelve years, ten of those years as program director. He has taught numerous continuing education courses in his twenty plus years of practice as a Massage Therapist. He has spent six years as a Physical Therapist Assistant honing his massage and corrective exercise skills.
